2servant of ʾlʿḏ Ylṭ king of 
3Ḥaḍramawt, directed the work in stone and built the town of 
4S¹mhrm from foundation to top along a perimeter (?), 
5and the construction and the structures of its s¹y, by the order and the 
6authority of his lord ʾbyṯʿ S¹lḥn son of Ḏmrʿly,
7chief of the Ḥaḍramawt troops in the land of S¹ʾklhn.

1ʿAmʾil ʿAlhan son of Raḍawʾil, Garabitan, Ḥa-
2-ḍrami, servant of ʾIlʿaḏ Yaluṭ, king of Ḥa-
3-ḍramaut, undertook according to the plan the siting and the construction of the town of Sa-
4māramm, from virgin soil to its establishment in sound order.
5And the creation and realisation were on the initiative and by the order
6of his master ʾAbyaṯaʿ Salḥin, son of Ḏamarʿalay,
7who is commander of the army of Ḥaḍramaut, in the country of Sākalan.
