1With the power and the help 2and the support of Rḥmnn, 3the lord of heaven 4and of his Anointed One, 5he has built the king 6ʾbrh, who is in 7Yemen, the king of Sa- 8baʾ and ḏū-Raydān 9and Ḥaḍramawt and 10Ymnt and their be- 11douins in the high- 12lands and the lowlands, the ʿw- 13dn in front of the building construction 14of S²rḥbʾl Yʿf- 15r. And he built it from 16its foundation, (that is to say) the bed- 17rock, up to its highest parts, 18forty-one 19cubits (high). And the lenght 20which extends in the direction of the wadi 21is forty-five 22cubits. And 23fourteen cubits is 24the width. And he carried out the work on its foundation 25before the month ḏ- 26Ḥltn in the year eight. 27And he has erected it with his 28followers as a building construction 29in dressed stone and plaster, 30a building construction which he completed. 31And the whole com- 32pletion of their inscription 33and their building work 34on [the dam and (?)] 35on the bed rock and in front 36of the outlet was in the month 37ḏ-Ḥltn 38the Latter in the year 39six hundred 40and fifty- 41eight.

Und (an) Länge, 20die sich in Richtung auf das Flußbett erstreckt, 21(ist es) fünfundvierzig 22Ellen. Und 23vierzehn Ellen (ist es an) 24Breite. Und er hat die Arbeiten an seinem Fundament 25vor dem Monat ḏū 26Ḥillatān des Jahres 8 (d.h. 658 ḥ.Ä.) durchgeführt. 27Und er hat es (in die Höhe) gebaut mit seinem 28Leuten als ein Bauwerk 29mit behauenen Steinen und Verputz, 30ein Bauwerk, das er aufgeführt hat. 31Und die gesamte Vol- 32lendung ihrer Inschrift 33und ihrer Bauausführung 34am [Damm und (?)] 35am Fels und vor dem 36Auslaß erfolgte im zweiten Monat 37ḏū Ḥillatān 38im Jahre 396 405 418.

7-12Titulatur der ḥimyarischen Könige, die ʾAbreha, der äthiopische Vizekönig im Jemen, wieder aufnimmt.
12-13[ʿAw-[dān]] Dieser Begriff, mit dem das gesamte Auslaßbauwerk bezeichnet wird, bezieht sich an dieser Stelle nur auf dessen nördlichen Pfeiler.
13-14[Bauwerk] D.i. die Gesamtkonstruktion des Auslaßbauwerkes, die Šuraḥbiʾil Yaʿfur nach CIH 541/77 vollendet hat.
