1Ḫlkrb Ṣdq son of ʾbydʿ king of Maʿīn built and founded Rṣfm, the temple of ʿṯtr ḏ-Qbḍm, and he committed the temple R- 2ṣfm to ʿṯtr S²rqn and all the gods of the communities of the god, the Patron, the territory and the population, against anyone who may damage it, who may 3destroy it, who may cause any injury or any harm in the temple Rṣfm, in time of war and of peace, for the duration of the earth and of the sky.
Translation Notes:
2The translation of the formulaic expression "ḥblm w-ḥmrm" follows here the one proposed by Bron 1998 a on the base of Garbini 1985: 313-316, and not the traditional one "the pact and the alliance".
