4According to Beeston (1979 b: 96), ʾrḍ may be a broken plural (cf. Ar. ʾarāḍī) and the following verb ytlwn an imperfect feminine. Stein (2003 a: 76, fn. 245.) thinks instead that ʾrḍ is a collective noun.
