1If anyone, of whatever status, [takes a lease of] 2a vegetable plot from the estate of T., and it 3neither produces a profit nor is redeemed (sc. by T.) after 4its rent-charge shall have been paid in full for two years, 5its rent-charge shall lapse.
Translation Notes:
1-4"wer auch immer Gold aus dem Vermögen des Talʾab [...], ... dessen Einsatz gehe verlustig" (Nebes).
1Quiconque parmi les hommes libres [loue 2une pâture dans le domaine de Tʾlb et n'en 3tire pas profit, alors il pourra se dédire dès qu'il 4aura occupé sa parcelle pendant deux ans. Qu'il 5rende dans ce cas sa parcelle.
Translation Notes:
4"... nous verrions en zʾd non pas le 'fermage' mais le sol qui produit ce 'fermage'" (Robin).
